This is a new 50/50 role; and we are looking for a keen couple who wish to progress and grow their equity. The farm produced 130,000kg milksolids (25/26 Season) under a low input pasture-based system using a 10in7 flexible milking system.
The shed is a 38 aside herringbone with ACR, Protack gate and we are currently using Sensehub collars. Halter would certainly be an option that would be considered as a 70/30 shared cost.
The cows are wintered on crop and the heifers are grazed off farm (shared cost). There is further potential to lift cow numbers and/or production using an in shed feed system that is available. Land development on the periphery of the property is ongoing.
The herd would be available for purchase at valuation.
The farm is less than 30 minutes from Greymouth, with the school bus (primary and secondary) at the gate.
