50:50 Sharemilker

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated 50/50 sharemilker to join a well established dairy farm business near Oxford, North Canterbury, for the 2027/28 season onwards.

The farm is forecast to peak milk 500 cows, on an irrigated 157 ha effective milking platform, with an initial production target of 230,000 kg MS.   

The farm has previously operated a self contained system and is now transitioning to winter cows off and incorporate in-shed feeding. This change presents an opportunity for a commercially focused sharemilker to optimise pasture utilisation, cow performance and overall farm profitability.

• 157ha irrigated milking platform.
• Excellent 42 aside Herring bone shed with in shed feeding and cup removers.
• Located 6km from Oxford and 45 minutes to Christchurch airport.
• Excellent schooling options and community.

About You

The farm owner is seeking an engaging team that are passionate about the dairy industry, cows and grass.
