We are looking for a Farm Assistant for our 1050 cow farm on the edge of Paeroa.
Milking through a 50 bale rotary cowshed with inshed feeding, autodrafting and auto heat detection.
Roster is 8 days on and 2 days off.
You must be able to ride a 2 wheeler and have a full drivers license.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
You will be self motivated and able to think for yourself.
You will be driven to suceed in your work and like to see results.
You will need to hit the ground running as we are a busy farm and every body takes resonsibilty for their role. So if you dont like early mornings, this is not the career for you.
You will understand and take responsiblities for daily tasks such as twice daily milkings, identifying mastitis and other animal health issues. Washing the plant and yard. Moving the irrigator, temporary fencing, general maintenance around the farm. You will look for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business.
Guaranteed minimum 30 hours
Your salary will range between $58 - $60
You must have a clear criminal record.
No drugs - we perform regular random drug testing
No dogs on farm due to farm policy
We provide shared accommodastion. II is preferred you live on farm due to the requirements of the job.
You must have a full driving license
