Job Description
We are looking for a hard-working Farm Assistant to join our team at Red Hill Dairy, a 940-cow sharemilking operation in the Amuri Basin. This is full time permanent role. Start date is flexible within reason.

What you'll be doing
- Milking in our 50-bale rotary, including early starts for first herd
- Shifting breaks, feeding out and helping with pasture and supplements
- Supporting mating (Allflex collars), animal health and stock work
- Helping with irrigation, effluent and general farm maintenance
- Following our health and safety rules and reporting hazards
What you'll bring
- Experience working with stock is essential; dairy experience is a bonus
- Reliable, on time and keen to learn
- Physically fit for farm work in all weather
- Full NZ driver license
- Able to ride a two-wheeler (preferred)
What we offer
- $60 - $65,000 a year total package depending on experience.
- On-farm house, rent deducted.
- Roster: 8:2 / 8:3 until end of summer, then 7:3 / 8:3
- Primary ITO training paid for and supported
- A small team working alongside the sharemilker, close to Hanmer Springs
