• Milking and general herd work (yarding, drafting, herd movement)
• Planting, harvesting and feeding out supplementary feed
• Tractor work: feeding out, spraying, mowing and general farm tasks
• Effluent management and fence maintenance
• Calf rearing in season, including feeding and health checks
• General farm maintenance and cleaning of the farm dairy
• Record keeping and following health & safety and farm procedures
Previous dairy farm experience in Southland conditions (preferred)
• Able to competently drive a tractor and operate farm machinery
• Comfortable working with people from different ethnicities and backgrounds, and being part
of a diverse farm team
• A good attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
• Physical fitness for outdoor farm work in all weather
• Current valid work visa with the right to work in New Zealand (we will also consider AEWV Job
Change applicants)
• A driver's licence is an advantage
