🐄 RELIEF MILKER WANTED – TAIERI PLAINS 🐄
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced relief milker to join our farm team! 😊
📍 Location: Taieri Plains, not far from Dunedin Airport
🚗 Drive-in role – no accommodation available
We milk 260 lovely, quiet cows through a 20-aside herringbone on an all-grass-based system. We’ve recently put Halter collars on the cows, which has been a great addition to the farm.
📅 Looking for 2 days off per fortnight, ideally over a weekend, as I have young kids and would love some regular family time. ❤️ There are also extra days available for the right person if you’re keen for more work.
The role would include:
🐄 Milking and normal shed duties
🐄 General stock work and farm jobs
🐄 Keeping an eye on the cows and letting me know if anything needs attention
🐄 Using the Halter system as required
🚜 Being able to drive a tractor would be handy!
Dairy experience is essential. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, good with cows, easy to get along with and confident working independently.
I’m hoping to find someone who enjoys dairy farming and takes pride in their work — someone I can trust to look after the cows and keep things running smoothly while I’m away.
💰 Pay negotiable depending on experience.
