Looking for a taste of the real Kiwi farm life? We’re looking for one reliable backpacker to join a dairy farm in the Amuri Plains area of Canterbury.

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on NZ dairy experience, earn good money and enjoy the rural lifestyle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Milking and general dairy farm work
  • Working with cows and livestock
  • General farm duties and helping wherever needed
  • Tractor work if you have the experience

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but dairy farming or milking experience is essential.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic (essential)
  • Has dairy farming/milking experience (essential)
  • Has tractor and/or motorbike experience (ideal)
  • Has good English and can follow instructions
  • Has a Valid Driver’s licence & own vehicle (essential)
  • Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • Can work flexible shifts or rotating rosters
  • Is happy to share accommodation

What’s on offer

  • Hourly pay + 8% holiday pay
  • Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week
  • Average 40 hours, maximum 60 hours
  • Shared on-farm accommodation available at low cost
  • Up to 5 months of work
