Located just 15 mins from Rotorua on SH 30, after 3 yrs with Contract Milkers the farm owners are looking to take the next step by employing their first 50/50 operator.
Approx 220 Fr X cows are calved with previous production prior to last 3 yrs around 85,000kgMS average, last 3 yrs with CM’s in place has seen a new farm record over 96,000kgMS with an average of around 94,000kgMS.
This has been achieved with OAD milking usually until the end of August, followed by TAD milking until around January then 3n2 (16hrs) until the end of the season.
The approx 88ha eff property has been run on a system 3 with calves on farm until 1st May, approx 100t in shed blend purchased and around 4ha of turnips grown.
All cows are wintered on platform also.
The farm is mostly rolling in contour with some steeper areas and features a functional 20ASHB shed with ACRs and meal feeding system.
Housing is by way of a 3 bedroom cottage with a 3 car garage.

The successful applicant will have the chance to purchase the herd and youngstock on farm and likely the machinery to ease the transition. Those with their own herd are also welcome to apply for the position.
