An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Farm Hand to join our client’s large-scale Angus beef operation in North West Tasmania.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 seasons of beef experience who wants to develop their skills within a professional, commercial breeding operation and become part of a business undergoing significant growth and investment.
About Our Client
Our client is a family-owned Australian agricultural business with a substantial portfolio of pastoral properties across Tasmania and Victoria. The business has built a strong reputation in commercial agriculture, with a significant focus on Angus beef production, pasture-based farming and long-term sustainable land management.
Their Tasmanian operations are a major part of the wider business, encompassing some of the state's most productive grazing country and supporting a significant Angus breeding and finishing enterprise.
The business has made a substantial long-term investment in North West Tasmania, with its Woolnorth properties forming an important part of its future beef strategy. The operation is progressively transitioning land previously used for dairy production into a large-scale Angus beef enterprise, making this an exciting time to join the team.
The Tasmanian Operation The broader Woolnorth aggregation is a significant farming enterprise, covering thousands of hectares of productive grazing country.
The beef operation currently has approximately 3,500 Angus breeders, with around half the cattle currently under agistment arrangements and half owned by the business. The long-term strategy is to transition towards a 100% owned breeding operation, creating a substantial Angus breeding enterprise.
This role will place you right in the middle of an operation that is continuing to develop and grow, rather than a static farm environment.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced livestock and farm management personnel and gain exposure to the practical requirements of running a large commercial breeding herd.
About the Role
Working as part of the farm team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of the Angus breeding operation.
Your responsibilities will include:

About You
Our client is ideally looking for someone with 2–3 seasons of practical beef cattle experience.
You will ideally have:
A formal agricultural qualification is advantageous, but practical experience, attitude and reliability are what really matter.
