We have a fantastic dairy position available on our 320 cow dairy farm located just 8km from Palmerston North. Cows are milked through a tidy and modern 35ashb dairy shed with automatic wash and new cup removers this season.
This role will work alongside a supportive farm manager, who in conjunction with the farm owners can help grow your career in the desired direction. This high-performing system 3 farm is spring-calving with a strong pasture management focus. General responsibilities will include assisting the manager to feed cows pasture along with feed inputs of seasonal maize silage and in-shed feed, as well as milking, effluent management, and general farm maintenance. This position also assumes responsibility for the farm, with guidance available, in the manager's absence or days off.
Some dairy farming experience is preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn is as important in this position.
