Dairy Farm Assistant (Morrinsville / Te Aroha) 3456FA

We are seeking a motivated and reliable farm worker to step into a Farm Assistant role. Experience is preferred but not required. The business operates 11 farms in the Morrinsville/Te Aroha area, and this role offers the opportunity to work across different farms as needed.

You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including:

• Milking twice a day
• shifting cows and feeding 
• fencing, weed control
• calving, calf rearing, and recording births/transfers in NAIT
• shed cleaning and setup,
• identifying sick cows, alerting managers, and logging treatments in LIC/MINDA
• Setting fences
• general farm duties and maintaining accurate herd records

Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 42. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, should you work beyond the agreed maximum hours in a fortnightly pay period, you will be paid at the agreed overtime rate for each additional hour worked.

The schedule may vary; Roster will be 12 days on, 2 days off. 

Salary ranges between $57,894 – $65,000 per annum, subject to experience
