Senior Farm Assistant  

We are seeking an energetic person that takes pride in their work and has a passion for the industry to join our team. We are contract milkers for Trinity Lands and require a strong candidate who is looking for an exciting opportunity to work alongside us. You will have the ability to step up, and aid in the smooth running of the farm whilst maintaining high standards in our absence.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The farm is conveniently located in Lichfield, 10 minutes from both Tokoroa and Putaruru. 

The farms run on an autumn calving system, and we peak milk 650 cows through a 40 aside herringbone shed on 163 ha of flat contour with some steeper areas. 

The shed is equipped with automatic drafting gates coupled with Cow Manager ear tags. Cow Manager is used as a tool to help make decisions around animal health, mating and nutrition which has revolutionized our daily operations.

The farm is also run on a high input system where supplements are fed out on a feed pad. The farm is well established with good soils and pastures. 

The ideal person will bring the following attributes:

• Has a positive attitude and the passion to progress within their role and the industry. 
• Keen eye for detail and good observation skills.
• Punctual, reliable and have good communication skills.
• Good team player.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience. 
• Good stock sense
• Ability to operate Tractors and Machinery.
