We’re looking for a motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team in West Otago.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, cares about animals, and wants to grow their skills in a supportive, well‑run farming environment.
We run a tidy, well organised operation with a strong focus on animal welfare, pasture management, and sustainable farming practices.

You’ll be involved in the day‑to‑day running of the farm, including:
Milking in a 50 bail rotary shed with cup removers
Feeding out and general stock care
Calf rearing during the season
Effluent and shed hygiene
Supporting seasonal tasks across the farm
You’ll be a good fit if you:
Have a positive attitude and enjoy hands‑on work
Are reliable, honest, and willing to learn
Can work well in a small team, follow farm routines and able to work on your own once trained
Are comfortable around livestock
Hold a full or restricted NZ driver license
Have experience on a dairy farm (preferred but not essential — training provided)
Gore is our main centre, 25 minute drive and Tapanui is a 10 minute drive away.
Fully self contained 500 cow dairy unit
Spring calving herd, milking twice a day.
Wintering barn for the dairy cows and support land for young stock.
