With our amazing 2IC heading back overseas in October we are now seeking a motivated and reliable person or couple to help us milk 500 quiet crossbred cows through an older but efficient 32 bale rotary shed. This is a fixed term role for the remainder of the season midway between Whitianga and Coromandel towns.
Main duties include getting cows in, milking, effluent management, water management and general farm tidying and maintenance. There is not much tractor work so if this is not a strength that's no issue. We value reliability and people who have a calm demeanor around livestock and co-workers.
We are open to a range of scenarios and ideally would like a full time worker and part time milker. We have 2 accommodation options which can be discussed but both can be basically furnished if required and are located right on the harbours edge. This could suit WHV holders or someone looking for a short term gig before the new season starts.
