This is an established 50-50 position which would ideally suit a keen milking couple milking 200 cows. A very good first sharemilking position. The farm is 63 ha and is flat to rolling contour and is located at Tihiroa 12 Km north of Otorohanga on SH 31. A good 16 as HB shed is provided, with inshed feeding, excellent housing and farm infrastructure. Last seasons production was 83242 Kg ms ( 1321 Kg ms/ha, 416 Kg ms/cow). The 4 year average production is 74745 Kg MS. Usually 5-6 ha of chicory is grown, 50 t DM as maize silage purchased and PKE used when required. The Owner lives off the farm, is very supportive and is committed to the farm. We are looking for top pasture management and stockmanship skills, and would prefer a crossbred, high BW herd calving from mid July on. We place emphasis on open communication and absolute integrity
