He rd Manager Position available We require a competent Herd Manager with several years experience that is willing to work, learn and engage in the day to day running of the farm. In the shed: You will be required to milk twice a day. Always be on time. Be calm with all stock and show a good level animal awareness. Diagnose fix or report problems with the milking plant. Follow milking procedures to ensure quality milk is supplied. Diagnose health issue in the herd. Administer Treatments and record correctly. Treat lame cows. Ensure in shed feed systems are working correctly on a daily basis. Have a desire to work in a clean and tidy environment, On the Farm: You must be confident with machinery. eg motor bikes 2 and 4 wheelers, tractors and irrigators.
