Located in Kaiaua in the northwest Hauraki Plains area, Gulf View Dairies is seeking a competent and skilled farm assistant to join us for the upcoming Autumn calving season. Milking 300 cows across 120ha of rolling farm land. A 1 bedroom self contained unit is available for accomodation, suitable for a single person. NO PETS . Free Power is included in the package.
The farm:
Brand new 30 aside herringbone, with auto cup removers, auto yard wash and in shed feeding. Adjacent 300 cow capacity covered feed pad. Concrete silage bunkers (no mud in winter feeding out ). Well maintained fences, races and water supply system. No calf rearing, no artificial insemination, no heard testing.
The successful applicant shall have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a herringbone shed.
