Dairy Herd Manager required. 680 cow farm, 30km South of Ashburton, Canterbury. We run system 5.   Job Description: Running the 60-bale shed (dairy) with cup removers and in shed feeding two centre pivots, 10 sprinklers; Responsible for key aspects of everyday farm work including health (note/treat problems) of our cows and other associated tasks; You should be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision once familiar with this farm and be in position to supervise/train other staff as appropriate; Health and Safety standards must be upheld; Communication, data collection such as herd records, reporting skills are essential; Always looking to learn and add value to the team.
