We have an exciting opportunity for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join the team at Te Awa Dairy Limited in Bankside, Canterbury!
You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Salary range is between $69,000 - $74,000.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Implementing efficient, effective milking and daily hygiene practices.
Setting break fences and feeding out as directed.
Ensure safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues.
Assist with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy.
Responsible for following all farm health and safety guidelines.
Responsible for safely using and maintaining farm vehicles and equipment.
Control weeds, keep a tidy workplace and contribute effectively to the team.
Experience & Skills Required:
Work independently as required and be capable of efficient and appropriate escalation of relevant matters.
