We are looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate Senior Herd Manager to join our team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a proactive approach and is committed to achieving high standards of animal health, welfare, production and productivity.
As Senior Herd Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our herd, ensuring the cows are well fed, healthy and content.
You will work closely with the contract milkers, providing guidance, direction and support to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
About the farm
We are looking for someone that wants to push on in the dairy industry, and to help us maintain a high standard on farm.
1250 cows on a 306ha effective dairy platform. Fully self-contained with a neighbouring support block.
60 bail rotary with in shed feeding, ACRs, auto drafting and protrack.
Good reliable irrigation with 6 pivots, fixed grid, 2 rotorainers & some sprinklers on the corners.
Grass based system.
Kale & fodder beet fed at the support block during the winter.
300 heifers reared each year, young stock work involved throughout the season.
Well maintained farm, good layout with good infrastructure including an underpass.
