Springdale/Waituna Dairies are seeking a couple or single person for the 2025/2026 season on 1 of their farms. Starting June 2025. Applicant preferably someone who has done 2yrs of dairy farming on an irrigated property and if a partner is also looking for part time work there would be relief milking opportunities. The dairy platform is approx.190ha, with all run-off land in close proximity. We are located 5mins or 5km from the centre of Waimate, South Canterbury. We peak milk 780 cows through 40 aside herringbone, allflex collars, in-shed feeding & pro-track. Most of the farm is under pivot, however there is K-Line that will also be moved twice a day for 5 days a week in peak irrigations season. Cows are milked twice daily – 4/4.30am & 2pm cups on for most of season. Typical breaks post calving of 8.30-9.30am, 11.30-2pm. Winter; 8-12, 1.30-4.30 Roster is currently 6 days on 2 days off.
