The Assistant Farm Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the farm which is a milking platform with young stock grazed off after weaning. General responsibility for maintaining stock and farm records.  This is an easy contour farm with 28 aside herringbone shed, in shed feeding. Top 400 cows twice a day, the rest once a day morning only, everything once a day March to end of May. We have a system that allows for not getting cows in, they walk themselves to milking while the coffees being drunk. Calves are grazed off farm from January till they return in May the following year as in calf. All ground work is done in house so plenty of tractor work available.
