About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Farm assistant to join our 509ha dairy farm in Franz Josef, milking 800 cows through a 60 bale rotary. You’ll work closely with the farm manager and a team (4  full-time staff + a calf rearer), with a roster of 11 days on, 3 days off. We are looking for a farm assistant who is passionate about pastural farming and caring for livestock.  We milk an 800 cow cross bred herd through a 50 aside herring bone shed. The normal daily tasks consists of milking, shifting the effluent irrigator, shifting break fences, moving cows, feeding supplements, helping with calf feeding, and all sorts of farm maintenance.  We are hoping to find someone that is keen to grow, progress, and master the art of farming.
