We will be milking 1100 cows via a 70 bale rotary with inshed feed and ACR. Milking times for most of the season are 4am and 2pm. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self motivated to join our team of staff, someone who is passionate about farming and in assisting the Sharemilker and team in carrying out daily farm duties. Duties include milking cows, keeping an eye on and recording animal health, keeping shed and surrounding areas clean and tidy, shifting fences and breaks, weed spraying, general farm jobs, feeding calves, riding quad bikes, moving k-lines. We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant who must have at least 2-3 years dairy farming experience to join a 890-cow farm in the Omakau area, milking through a 54 Rotary Bale. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  virtual fencing/Halter, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 50.
