We are owner operators seeking experienced and motivated individual who enjoys farming with a strong work ethic and who is capable to assist with the day to day running of the farm. Our farm is a tidy, well established 146ha flat to undulating farm which is located in Isla Bank, Western Southland. We winter 470 crossbred cows on a family runoff in Dipton and peak milk 460 cows through a 50 bale rotary cowshed. We have ACRs, Protrack, Auto draft, Auto teatsprayer, and Halter Collars. We are owner operators, who want to see the best of the farm, cows and staff. 6/2 roster all year round except for calving (1st Aug – 31st Oct) where rosters are 6/1) 2 full-time staff throughout the season. We are seeking a 2IC or Herd Manager on a 600-cow farm located approximately 15-20 minutes west of Invercargill, milking through a 40 Aside Herringbone shed with ACR's and an in shed feed system. You must have a passion for cows and animals and enjoy working outside. Plus a friendly can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and be flexible, take pride in your work, be honest and reliable and maintain a clean and tidy home. Due to genuine reasons, our client is looking for a manager or experienced 2IC to help run their 300 cow dairy farm near Tuatapere. Ideally we want someone who has a great attitude and the confidence and experience to make on farm decisions on a daily basis. You will have support from the owners and their team, and the farm has recently installed Halter. Excellent animal health and feeding skills are essential, as well as the ability to operate tractors and machinery. We value health and safety and great communication. We are a 245ha family run self contained dairy operation located south of Edendale. We milk 500 cows through a 36 rotary with cup removers, meal feeding, Datamars cow collars & protrack (this shed is currently being replaced with a 54 bale rotary). This season we are on track for 255,000kgMS (535/cow, 1,650/ha). Our cows are wintered in a Redpath barn and we rear/graze our own replacement heifers along with 80-100 beef cattle. Assistant Manager wanted to run the daily operation of a 750 cow farm near Riversdale, Southland. 60 bail rotary that sits on a flat to rolling contour. ACR, auto draft, in-shed feed, auto teat spray and cow collars. We are after someone with previous experience with the role or at least 5 years of dairy farming experience in New Zealand.
