We require a senior farm assistant to assist with the day to day running of our 930 cow Spring calving dairy farm 12 minutes out of Bulls Manawatu. We have a great team and we are looking for the right person who will fit in as team culture is really important to us. The successful applicant must be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated and positive. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skill, a minimum of 1 year dairy farming experience.  Duties and responsibilities include: milking, animal health, feeding out, calving, mating and general farm maintenance.  The applicants must be willing to undergo a drug test. Greig Farming Ltd is made up of two farming operations each milking 1250 cows, along with a runoff block that is situated between the two dairy units. The farm has implemented good systems, sound infrastructure and uses modern machinery. The farms are located 8 minutes north of Foxton and 20 minutes Southwest of Palmerston North. Greig Farming is looking for a jack of all trades to be part of our dry stock runoff team (team of 3) and this role is crucial in assisting our dairy operations. This person needs to have great stockmanship and strong understanding of machinery. There is weekend work required.
