We are looking for a farm assistant to help cover milkings and other farm duties. We run 680 cows through a 54 bale rotary. We also have another property which milks 400 cows through a 40 aside herringbone. Ideally looking for someone who would can  milk in rotary and herringbone sheds. Tractor driving ability would be a bonus but not essential.

We require an honest reliable Herd Manager to join our team in Southland. 2 years experience  or a qualification Level 4 or above required . Understands and takes responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. Completes tasks with minimal supervision and can supervise and train other staff. Looks for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business.   Duties include but not limited to Milking: Manages an efficient and hygienic milking routine Animals: Manages safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Environment: Assists with nutrients, effluent and water management People: Manages junior farm staff. Works well with others, building a strong team culture Machinery Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains plant and farm vehicles. Pay rate is $30 - $35 per hour....

Calf Rearing position We are located in Tisbury 5-minute drive from south Invercargill. We will be rearing approximately 250-300 replacement calves with the rest going to bobbies. You will be working alongside an awesome team. Ideally the candidate will have experience calf rearing, a good attitude and the ability to work efficiently unsupervised. We are seeking a full-time machinery operator to join us. We are a family run agricultural contracting business who provide a range of services for our clients around the South Otago region. These include; digger services, hedge cutting, carting of materials using tractors and trailers and our trucks, and also two silage harvesting gangs throughout silage season.
