Looking for an experienced calf rearer for the calving season. This is a drive in position, no accommodation available on farm.  Farm is located 10 minutes from Matamata on the Kaimai range. Close proximity to Morrinsville, Te Poi, Walton and Te Aroha.  Required for 8 weeks from 25th July till the middle of September.  Rearing 130 replacement calves and around 40 beef calves.  Ad-lib milk feeding system.  Good infrastructure.  Roughly 3-3.5 hours in the morning + 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon.  Must be able to work weekends to help cover staff time off. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking and monitoring milk quality, training junior staff, stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), fencing, weed control, calving, calf rearing, shed maintenance & preparation, tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health and other general farm duties.
