The role is split between two rotary dairy sheds and includes milking duties along with general day-to-day farm tasks. Luscombe Farm Partnership is requiring a Relief Milker / Calf Rearer. The calf rearing position will commence mid July through to approximately mid September where you will be required to work with one other person and alone on some occasions.  We will be rearing around 130 heifer calves as well as beef calves. Hours will be discussed with the successful applicant. The relief milking position will be on an on-call basis and will be an ongoing position on farm milking 580 cows in a 60 bale rotary shed.   You must be reliable and fit and able to start work in July.  Must have a NZ working Visa and reside in NZ.

We milk 420-430 Friesian cows through a new 50 bale rotary shed, located 5 minutes east of Eltham. We require someone who is passionate about farming and who is keen to learn more about the industry. You will be required to undertake and be involved in general farming duties including milking, dairy hygiene, weed control, animal health, feeding out and general maintenance. You must be honest and reliable, and have excellent time management skills. Our team is made up of 3 full time workers (employer included). Time off will be every second weekend.
