We are looking for a Herd Manager to join us for the season on our 685 cow dairy farm near Tokoroa. You must have 2 years or more NZ dairy farm experience and be of Herd Manager level.  Jobs include all basic farm work and some responsibilities around animal health, milk quality, pasture management, tractor work, farm maintenance and weekly reporting will be required to be done.  You must have a high level of english, be reliable and smoke/ drug free with a valid driver license. salary package based on applicant capabilities. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying.
