We are looking for someone to join our 550-winter milking property in Okaihau 15 minutes from Kerikeri. We are searching for someone who is wanting to progress in the dairy industry, and shift into management in the next 12 months. Currently we have 8 Filipinos, and 5 kiwi part time staff spread over 3 farms, we are searching for someone who has clear spoken English and is also fluent in Tagalog. The aim of this role is to progress into team leadership where on farm staff would have clear guidance and direction of what is needed to be achieved on farm. This would suit someone that can lead by example, can communicate well with others, and have the ability to grow into the roll over 12 months, as the business grows to 2000+ cows through four dairy sheds. We are seeking two (2) Dairy Farm Assistants with at least 6 months' dairy farm experience to work on a 650 and 700-cow farm in the Okaihau and Kerikeri area, milking through a 40 and 35 Aside Herringbone sheds. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties.
