Pasture Mgmt: daily pasture allocation, supplement and inshed feeding system. Assist in training farm assistants. Tractor driving and general farm work. Minimum of 2 years NZ dairy experience. Full drivers license. Able to pass a drugs test and have their own transport.

We are looking for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) for a Herd Manager role on a 1500 cow farm in the Hororata area. The farm is located 45 minutes west of Christchurch, milking through a 60 Bail Rotary shed with ACR. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking and monitoring milk quality, - stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), - fencing, weed control, - calving, calf rearing, - shed maintenance & preparation, - tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage - monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, should you work beyond the agreed maximum hours in a fortnightly pay period, you will be paid the agreed overtime hourly rate for any hours beyond the maximum hours.
