With our amazing 2IC heading back overseas in October we are now seeking a motivated and reliable person or couple to help us milk 500 quiet crossbred cows through an older but efficient 32 bale rotary shed. This is a fixed term role for the remainder of the season midway between Whitianga and Coromandel towns. Main duties include getting cows in, milking, effluent management, water management and general farm tidying and maintenance. There is not much tractor work so if this is not a strength that's no issue. We value reliability and people who have a calm demeanor around livestock and co-workers. We are open to a range of scenarios and ideally would like a full time worker and part time milker. We have 2 accommodation options which can be discussed but both can be basically furnished if required and are located right on the harbours edge. We are looking for a drive in relief milker to join our team. Our herd manager will be taking maternity leave at the end of the year and we are looking for a relief staff member who would like to gain more experience on farm while she is away! We are milking 500 fresian cows in a 40 a/s herringbone . Located near Arapuni. The job would require twice a day milkings. We are looking for someone dedicated, responsible with reliable transportation and a lack of excuses. We are a fun young team and love to have a laugh and reach our goals. There is plenty of work available for an employee outside of milkings if looking to gain more hours during the day on farm. This position would need at least 1 year experience milking in a herringbone. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying.
