We are looking for an experienced calf rearer for the 2026/27 season located in Papakaio, 10 minutes north of Oamaru. We calve 850 cows keeping 300 replacement heifers and beef calves with the remainder sold as Bobby calves. This is a sole charge position and you will be responsible for all day to day feeding and health treatments, keeping the shed clean and tidy and also maintaing stong hygienic practices. You must be hard working and a team player who can problem solve. This is a Drive in position as there is no accomodation available. We have the opportunity for an additional team member to assist on our 750 dairy farm at Tahuna, 20kms north of Morrinsville. The position is for a fixed term 4 month term July - October. If you are a couple it is possible that we will have work for you both.  Duties will primarily be calf rearing & associated tasks, however there will be some milking & general farm work required. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Relief Milker with at least 6+ months' experience for a 7-month fixed term position from July 2026 to February 2027. This role is on a 650-cow farm in the Dacre area, milking through a modern 60 Bail Rotary shed with Waikato Milking Systems equipment. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking cows - Ensuring milk quality and hygiene standards - Operating and monitoring the milking sytem - Following animal welfare and farm safety procedures - Identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Cleaning and maintaining the shed and equipment - and other general farm duties.
