About us:   Culverden Farm is a family-run hill-country farming operation with a large scale Sheep Dairy and complimentary drystock cattle. We're based in Waerenga, North Waikato (10 min from Te Kauwhata). This role centres around milking:   twice per day in our 36 a-side herringbone shed with automatic cup removers. Spring focus:   includes lambing with a split rearing system: some naturally on ewe, some artificially in our purpose built rearing shed on auto-feeders. We are seeking a motivated and reliable person to join us and our 2IC milking 500 quiet crossbred cows through an older but efficient 32 bale rotary shed located mid-way between Whitianga and Coromandel towns. This is a fixed term role for the lactation only July to April. We are having to re-advertise due to previously successful candidate changing their mind about taking the role on. This has traditionally been a 2 person farm utilizing calf rearers and relief milkers but we are transitioning to a model that will largely use 3 full-time labour units to achieve seasonal outcomes instead. We can be very flexible with how this role is structured so welcome applications from a range of experience levels and circumstances.  The main duties will be getting cows in,  AM and PM milkings, Shed clean-up and Hygiene and some general farm clean-up and weed control. This role ideally would suit a drive-in, but a small self contained 1 bedroom cabin may be able to be organised. In that case, will suit a single person only, NO Families We are based 10-15 minutes east of Tokoroa. Looking for a drive in farm Assistant to work between 20-40 hours a week.  Located in Reporoa, couple minutes drive from the village.
