We have a vacancy for a honest & reliable farm assistant on a 450 cow farm. 12 minutes from Feilding and 25 minutes from Palmerston North. Duties would include Milking and general farm duties. A minimum of one year’s recent dairy farm experience in New Zealand required. Must pass a pre employment drug test. Drivers license required. 1 bedroom accommodation is available would suit a single person.

Flexible on starting date.  Skills :  We need someone with at least 3 years dairy experience. Have the confidence and skills to run a cowshed, ensuring all procedures are followed to avoid milk penalties, can do plant & vat washes Can identify sick animals and treat them Good stockmanship skills Duties : Milk Cows Plant & Vat washes, cleaning of shed & yards  Assist contract milker team to pick up calves, draft cows etc.  Feed out - feed pad During summer months - weed spraying
