We are in need of a 2IC for the remainder of the season. Flexible on starting date.
Skills :
- We need someone with at least 3 years dairy experience.
- Have the confidence and skills to run a cowshed, ensuring all procedures are followed to avoid milk penalties, can do plant & vat washes
- Can identify sick animals and treat them
- Good stockmanship skills
Duties :
- Milk Cows
- Plant & Vat washes, cleaning of shed & yards
- Assist contract milker team to pick up calves, draft cows etc.
- Feed out - feed pad
- During summer months - weed spraying
