Experienced Calf Rearer required, 4km North of Gore on Waimea Hwy. Rearing 300 replacements & selling 4 day old beef calves. You would be working with another to help reduce workload for a good work environment. This job starts beginning of Aug and runs until the end of September. Excellent purpose built calf sheds with underground milk line from dairy shed. Understanding of best practice animal health and growing good quality stock a must. Hours will be flexible and negotiable.

We are looking for a super star calf rearer at Dacre 🐮 📍We are located 5mins from Edendale and 10 minutes to Woodlands. This is a drive in position. ▪️This is a Fixed term position from early August to end of October. ▪️We are looking for a motivated calf rearer to join our team rearing 180-200 replacement calves in addition to beef and bobby calves. ▪️Your Duties would be feeding calves, cleaning and daily calf care. We run a very easy simple to use system with minimal bucket carrying  ▪️Previous experience preferred but not essential. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Relief Milker with at least 6+ months' experience for a 7-month fixed term position from July 2026 to February 2027. This role is on a 650-cow farm in the Dacre area, milking through a modern 60 Bail Rotary shed with Waikato Milking Systems equipment. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking cows - Ensuring milk quality and hygiene standards - Operating and monitoring the milking system - Following animal welfare and farm safety procedures - Identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Cleaning and maintaining the shed and equipment - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30, with an average of 50 and a maximum of 60. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate....

Located - Benmore, Dipton 15 minutes to Winton, 45 minutes to Invercargill Morning and afternoon feeding of calves required. Hours will vary dependent on calf numbers etc. Relief milking optional extra if interested.
