🐄 Calf Rearer Wanted – Spring 2026  🐄 We're on the hunt for a motivated and reliable Calf Rearer to join our team from 23 July 2026 through to mid-October located just 3 minutes from Sheffield. About the Role; You'll be responsible for rearing approximately 130 replacement heifer calves from birth through to weaning. This is a lead calf rearing position with the support of other on farm staff on busy days. Our calf system is straightforward and well set up: - All calves receive their first feed via tube feeding - Calves are then transitioned onto an ad-lib feeding system once they are trained on feeders. - Straw, Meal and fresh water all available in their pens and are checked/refreshed/topped up daily. The farm will calve 630 cows total. Its that time of year again that we are seeking a fit and able calf rearing superstar to support ourselves on our calf rearing property located 5 minutes west of Burnham, less than 10 minutes from Rolleston. This year we will be contract rearing 600 dairy beef calves from 1 week old to 110 kg. No experience is required as full training will be provided. Tasks will involve but are not limited to: -Mixing calf milk replacer -Feeding calves in the purpose-built calf sheds and then when calves are older out in Paddocks with a tow behind feeder. -Administering basic animal health -Disinfecting calf sheds/bedding -Washing and disinfecting calf feeding equipment -Topping up straw & meal - Assisting with weighing & animal health yarding's as the calves get older. Feeding newborn bobbies, heifer and beef calves.This is a drive in position.Start of August until end of October. It will be 5-7 hrs per day until mid September.
