Due to a change of circumstance we are looking for a Contract Milker or Manager. The successful applicant will have proven ability to run a farm under system 2 while still maintaining a high standard across the farm in both performance and presentation.  They will  work with the farm supervisor to help achieve the farm targets both in production and financial performance. This farm has a very high BW jersey herd - so an interest in genetics would be advantageous. A good level of animal management capability is required. Target milk solids will be around 115,000 kg MS. Two houses are provided for staff. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are currently looking for a contract milker. The farm is split calving (150A/200S )TAD. It is located between Whangaroa harbour and Mangonui on SH10. School bus to local primary and secondary schools at gate. 180h 90%flat 10% rolling to steep.  this position is perfect for a couple or 2 person team so if you've been a contract milker or have 5 plus years Experiance in dairying we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a calf rearer to come and join our team of 3. This role will have sole charge of rearing 150 heifer replacements, training is provided. There would also be the option to help with milking in the mornings.  We milk 610 cows through a 54-bale rotary with protrack with smaXtec animal monitoring. The roster is 6 days on and 2 days off, this could be negotiable. Position is from mid-late July through to mid-late September. A fully furnished one bedroom cottage is available on the farm.  Pay based on experience.  Please not the job is only for 8-10 weeks and applicant must have a visa to be able to work in New Zealand. 

Please note This is a RENT IN MILK (This role is for someone who can work in return for the value of house rent) position. Not suitable for someone on employer specific work visa or someone who wants a fulltime work. Milking in Herringbone shed, bringing cows, winding up fence, weed spraying and helping out staff with other farm duties. We want someone who enjoy working with animals, friendly, with sense of humor. We expect him/her to look after the house as well. Ability to ride two-wheeler is a must.
