We are: Our Farm is a very tidy 186 effective hectares of flat dairy land. Located on the edge of Waverley township in South Taranaki, we are a spring calving operation and milk 590 crossbred cows through a 70-bale rotary shed with automatic cup removers, in-shed feeding and auto drafting gate. The farm system is level 2-3 with a strong focus on pasture, supported by imported maize and silage along with an in-shed blend and a summer turnip crop. Our cows wear allflex collars and calves are DNA profiled. Soil fertility is optimum and pasture grows well. Calves leave the farm in December and return as in-calf heifers. We require a 50/50 sharemilker for our dairy farm in the Glenroy Valley, 30 minutes from Murchison (school, supermarket, service centre, medical centre etc).  There is an area school bus at the gate.  The dairy is a 40 bale rotary shed with ACR's and Protrack.  Halter would be a good option if the sharemilker would consider that (70/30 shared cost).  Summer crops and some baleage are grown on the dairy; and winter crops and silage on the runoff.  The runoff is managed by the sharemilker.  The R2yr heifers are usually grazed off outside the dairy/runoff from 1st June to 31st May (shared cost).  Calving date is the 10th of August.  The herd would be available for purchase at valuation. We are seeking a passionate, driven and honest couple to step into our successful farm business and work collaboratively with the farm owners as a contract milker from 1st June 2027. The farm usually milks 280-290 LIC XB cows through a 38A/S shed with swingarm cup removers and inshed feeding. 110ha with a 3 year average of 135,000kgMS   (last season 139,914kgMS).
