with 20 years of sharemilkers on the farm , two of which reached sharemilker of the year for Southland , the opportunity to take on this role is available for 2027 onwards the farm consists of two houses, 120,000-130,000 kgs m/s with no imported feed, a runoff with winter feed 3 km from farm , 10kms from Winton and 4kms from local school. applicants must have a conformation of finance from a bank to take on this venture. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances our small family farm requires a farm assistant to support us this coming season, starting with calving time in August 2026.  Having run the farm over the past eight seasons as a husband & wife duo (plus kids), we're looking for someone to support us in the running of the dairying operation. Consisting of a range of typical dairy farm duties/jobs; including, but not limited to, milking sole-charge, able to work independently, operating a four-wheel motorbike, putting up fences etc. Hours ranging from 20-40 hours per week. Flexible hours and days to suit, and as available. Flexible milking times; last season start 7am, and afternoon milkings 4pm.  This position is a drive-in position. Part time Dairy Farm assistant - 3 days a week, general farm duties. Can be flexible for the right person. Must be honest and reliable. Experience preferred, but the right attitude is essential.
