Assistant Manager / 2IC Galatea, BOP - immediate start Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager / 2IC for their autumn calving property located in Galatea, BOP. The 256 effective hectare property operates as a Dairy NZ system 2 - 3, milking 340 cows through a 30 ASH with in-shed feed system and automatic cup removers. Young stock are reared and grazed on farm for part of the season and a range of crops are grown including maize, turnips and lucerne. The position reports to the Farm Manager and as part of a team of two, this allows an opportunity to get hands on experience at variety of dairy farming tasks. As the 2IC, you will also be required to step up and be responsible for the daily operation of the dairy unit on a regular basis. Hi we are looking for a reliable person to assist us over the calving period.  Ideally you would have previous experience in both calf rearing and milking and be a New Zealand resident. Once calving is completed ( end of September ) we would be keen for someone to stay on and help with the milkings every 2nd weekend, covering holidays, herd testing and busy periods.  We milk twice a day until January then once a day til season ends.  This is a casual job but there are more hours available if wanted throughout the season for the right person    

Reliable relief milker to help out over busy calving to mating period. (July to October) Ideal candidate would live close to Pongakawa, Paengaroa, Pukehina, Te Puke or Otamarakau area in the BOP. We are looking for a casual or fixed term staff member to help mornings on our OAD dairy farm.  The job is mainly milking but could also include feeding out on the feed pad, fencing or weed spraying.  Experience milking cows is preferred.
