Carries   out   milk   harvesting   tasks   safely, efficiently, and correctly, and assists in training new employees on correct   techniques. Assists   with   solving   milk   quality   problems,   as per instructions in farm policy manual. with 20 years of sharemilkers on the farm , two of which reached sharemilker of the year for Southland , the opportunity to take on this role is available for 2027 onwards the farm consists of two houses, 120,000-130,000 kgs m/s with no imported feed, a runoff with winter feed 3 km from farm , 10kms from Winton and 4kms from local school. applicants must have a conformation of finance from a bank to take on this venture. 

We require an honest reliable Herd Manager to join our team in Southland. 2 years experience  or a qualification Level 4 or above required . Understands and takes responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. Completes tasks with minimal supervision and can supervise and train other staff. Looks for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business. Duties include but not limited to Milking: Manages an efficient and hygienic milking routine Animals: Manages safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds.
