You will be working in an established family owned business running 650 dairy cows with runoff located near Matamata.  You will assist, with your experience, in hands-on upkeep of machinery, infrastructure, and land to keep the pastoral dairy operations running smoothly. We have our own machinery so duties range from mowing, spraying, fencing, feeding-out, race repairs, water maintenance etc. Extensive stock knowledge enabling the handling of stock quietly with assistance during calving, drenching of stock, break feeding etc. Our new staff member would be honest, punctual and hardworking with good communication skills.  This person would need to be a problem solver and be self motivated.  Organising your day, reporting to the Farm Operations Manager, along with communicating and assisting other people in the team will be a daily task. Part time role available for an experienced dairy farmer. Must have experience in a rotary shed & be able to work sole charge & be reliable. The Farm: 50 bale rotary shed, ACRs, in shed feeding, auto teat spray, drafting gate & Halter. TAD milking roughly 6 months of the year, 3 in 2 milkings roughly 6 months of year (5am & 7pm day 1, then 11am day 2) 300 spring calvers, 50 autumn calvers Flexible hours/days. Could be 3 on 4 off, or 6 on 8 off, for example. Minimum 2 days per week as an average, maximum 3.5 days per week as an average.
