Our farm is located near Te Awamutu.  We milk 260 cows through a 25ashb, on a system system 3 farm.  The position is stated 'fixed term' but will be until 31 May 2027.  Our ideal applicant would be experienced with animal husbandry, quiet & calm with the cows, have good tractor experience and all general farm skills, be able to follow instructions, and use initiative. .   We are NOT an accredited employer.  If you are living in NZ, a NZ resident, have 2+yrs NZ dairy experience, drug free, have your licence & own reliable transport, and have great recent references, please apply online attaching your up to date CV and recent referees details. Assists   with   solving   milk   quality   problems,   as per instructions in farm policy manual. Helps farm assistants to understand factors that   affect   milk   quality,   hygienic   milking   and mastitis control procedures. Cleans and maintains the milking plant and farm   dairy   equipment,   and   carries   out   hygiene inspections as per instructed in on farm policy   manual. We are looking for a drive in Calf Rearer/Relief milker for this current season 2026, from July til September with possible on-going work with Relief Milking throughout the year. Must have good experience in calf rearing, 1 farm has 200 and the 2nd farm has 260 spring calving cows. 2IC - Over 3 smaller farms - Te Awamutu
Cardon Rural Recruitment Multiple farms (Pirongia Rd, Te Awamutu, New Zealand)
Located 2km to Te Awamutu, this 'floating' position will be covering 3 smaller farms of 260, 300 & 150 cows.  Two farms are next to each other and one is a little further away.  The cowsheds are all herringbones from 16-26 a side. This will be a full time position, primarily on the 260 cow farm over calving, then covering the Farm Managers RDO's and other work over the 3 farms.  The position is stated 'fixed term' but will be until 31 May 2027.  We are seeking an experienced farmer with the right skills & ability to join our various farm teams.  Having great animal husbandry & being quiet & calm with the cows, good tractor experience and all general farm skills are a must, as is having the ability to use initiative, follow instructions, and at times work unspervised.   We are NOT an accredited employer.  As the house is only a 2 bedroom, the position will only suit a single, a couple, or a couple with 1 or 2 small children.  If you are living in NZ and are a...
