Senior Farm assistant position available 30 minutes east of Taupo. 3 bedroom house with internal garage. 1300 cows milked through a 80 Bale Rotary.  Position will suit a couple with relief milking and part time work on farm available over calving and mating. Position could also suit two people wanting to share accommodation and a fulltime plus part time position. 

We are looking for a reliable Relief Milker to join our team from November 2026 until the end of the 2026/27 dairy season. The successful applicant will cover milking shifts while permanent staff are on annual leave, attending training, or carrying out other essential farm duties. The role includes milking cows, preparing and cleaning the milking shed and equipment, bringing cows to and from the milking shed, monitoring animal health and welfare, maintaining high standards of milk quality and hygiene, and carrying out general dairy farm duties as required. Our 404-hectare rolling-to-flat farm runs as a System 2 operation with a peak herd of 1200 cows. We milk 50% once-a-day (OAD) and 50% twice-a-day (TAD) from the start, switching fully to OAD by the end of December.
