Mahoe Dairies are on the look out for Dairy Farm Assistants & Herd Managers We require honest, reliable Dairy Farm Assistant and Herd Manager to join our team on our Family operated farms in Mossburn, Southland. Previous dairy farming experience preferred, but not essential for Dairy Farm Assistants. 2 years work experience or a level 4 qualification or above required for Herd Manager positions. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine. - Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. - Feed: Controls weeds, Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. - Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy. - People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture. - Machine, Vehicles and Technology, Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by our on farm policy. - Health, Safety...
