GENERAL FARM DUTIES, MILKING H/B SHED,FEEDING OUT, FENCEING, STOCK WORK

We are on the lookout for two staff members to join our small team based 20 minutes out of invercargill in Southland My partner and I contract milk two farms two minutes apart milking 420 spring calving friesian cows on each farm. We are looking for a 2ic and a farm assistant for the upcoming season starting June the 1st. Though we would be happy for someone to start earlier than this. Both farms have excellent infrastructure and machinery including a 40 aside herring-bone and 50 bail rotary sheds with acrs, in shed feeding and automated wash and drafting systems. Both farms also utilise wintering barns/feed pads and are maintained to a very high standard. We are very passionate about our stock and strive for the best results. We set high standards of animal health, dairy hygiene and general farm tidiness. The 2IC role will be based full time on one of the farm while the farm assistant will work between both properties with transport provided. We will run a 6 on 1 off...

We are looking for a experienced herd manager to join us for the coming season. You must have one year or more NZ dairy farm experience. Jobs include all basic farm work and some responsibilities around animal health, milk quality, pasture management, tractor work, farm maintenance etc. You must be reliable and smoke/ drug free with a valid driver license. salary package based on applicant capabilities. Hi we are a 970 cow farm in Waikite Valley 20 minutes south of Rotorua made up with 2 cowsheds. We are looking for 2 Fulltime Dairy Farm Assistants to work alongside our farm managers on each farm.
