Due to circumstantial changes we are looking for a farm manager or a 2ic. We calve around 480 cows and milk them through a 40 a side herringbone with cup removers, auto teat spray, inshed feeding, protrac and alflex collars. We are fully irrigated with pivot, fixed grid an a small bit of kline which is getting converted to fixed grid hopefully before next season. Effluent is spread through the pivot.  Last season we achieved 600kgms/cow and 2320kgms/ha with 1700kg/cow supplement bought onto the farm. As a very high producing unit our attention to detail is key in all aspects of the business so would suit someone who is always striving for better. The farm owners live on farm and are hands on for now so there is al ot of support around to help you progress to your next step. This role would suit someone with solid dairy farming experience who is ready to take the next step and be involved in the day-to-day running of the farm alongside supportive employers and a good team.
